About the event

Bring the whole family! Do you know how this uniquely African American holiday came about? Learn the 7 principals and the symbols: a mat (our foundation from the past), crops (the fruits of our current labors) and corn (representing our children who are the future). We will participate in fun activities including crafts, storytelling, and music.
